No matter the branch, character, or length of service, Opportunity Council strives to ensure those that have served our country are seen and supported in the communities we serve.

Through individual support and case management, we work with Veterans and Veteran families to navigate systems and access the resources and support they need to thrive in the places they call home.

To be eligible, members of the National Guard must have been called to active duty under Title 10. If you are unsure of your status or eligibility, please contact us.

Services are available for qualified veterans. Minimum duty requirements do not apply. If you are unsure of your eligibility or veteran status, please contact us to find out.

How is “veteran” defined?2022-12-29T11:43:46-08:00

“Veteran” is defined as “a person who served in the active military, naval, or air or space service, regardless of length of service, and who was discharged or released therefrom,” excluding anyone who received a dishonorable discharge from the Armed Forces or was discharged or dismissed from the Armed Forces by reason of the sentence of a general court-martial. 38 U.S.C. § 2002(b).
