Helping get you back on the road
Island County, we’re here to help you get back on the road!
If you need help covering costs like:
- Fixing a cracked windshield
- Replacing failing tires
- Renewing expired tabs
- Fix-it-tickets or non-moving violations
- And more…
We may be able to help through our Direct Relief for Infractions & Vehicle Expenses (DRIVE) program. In partnership with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), DRIVE helps folks who qualify keep their vehicles safely and legally on the road.
How to Apply:
Our Island County Resource Center (231 SE Barrington Dr Suite 100 in Oak Harbor) is open for in-person DRIVE applications during rolling two-week windows each month.
To plan your visit, see the calendar on this page for upcoming application windows (coming soon).
Please note:
DRIVE is not a general vehicle repair program. Assistance cannot be used for mechanical repairs such as engines, transmissions, air conditioning, fluid servicing, or work on non-running vehicles.
