Child Care Resource and Referral is a community service that works with parents/families, child care providers, businesses, and community organizations to help promote the availability of high quality child care programs in Island, San Juan, and Whatcom counties. We provide parents and families with child care referrals and consumer education materials on evaluating high quality child care, plus resources on various parenting issues.

We offer child care providers access to valuable professional development and support services for new or established programs. Child Care Resource and Referral also works to assess the supply and demand of child care in the communities we serve, and based on our findings, increase the supply where needed.

Finding the right, high quality child care program to meet your family’s needs can be an overwhelming experience. To assist you in your search, we offer an online database of over 200 child care programs in Island, San Juan, and Whatcom counties, as well as Resource and Referral Coordinators available by email/phone to help you make one of the most important decisions in your child’s life. Child Care Resource and Referral’s vision is to ensure that every child gets a great start in school and in life, starting with a high quality child care/early learning program.

We help families of all income levels to access child care in Island, San Juan, and Whatcom counties.
